I have just released a few two color gothic fonts which you can find in the online store. These could be called chromatic fonts though I prefer to call them 2-color fonts.
To order the 2 color fonts, both the regular gothic and the outline must be ordered at the same time. This is because both versions must be cut at the same time if you want to have a chance at proper registration. The idea is to print the solid version and then replace the letters with the outline version on the press. If you don’t change any of the setup of the form on the press, the second color should be very close to registering. Theoretically if you do this the second color will fall into place, but since this is hand made wood type and the outline is the exact same size as the filled letter, I have found that it will be close.
If you look closely at the scan of the printed image you will notice that the printing is not perfect. If you order the 2 color versions I will make the solid type a little bit thinner than the outline so that there is some trap.
